Ray was one of the four founders of the Gerry Tobin Irish Language School, a teacher and mentor for many years there, a musician, a scholar, and a great friend. Here are some things to remember him by.
Here are his sonnets in English and in Irish.
You can hear his voice for about 3/4 of our Progress in Irish recordings.
If you are interested in Irish history, check out his geneological charts and book.
This is a list of his contributions to An Gael. Luke wrote a great article based on an interview with Ray in Samhradh 2019 of An Gael. He is also featured in my history of the spoken Irish language in NY, which ran from Earrach 2021 through Geimhreadh 2021.
Ray played on Brian DeVale's CD, 2001-2002.
We recorded our concert (he speaks and plays) at the Garden City Library in 2005.
